It was a humid day in Texas. Isidoro was driving in his 2015 Nissan Titan on a rural road in the small suburb of Manvel with his Sylveon in the back seat, who was drawing a picture of the Wyoming Cowboys logo. Isidoro had been looking on Craigslist for a used car as a gift for his aunt on her birthday, as she was a big fan of used and older cars. Surprisingly, he was unable to find many used cars in Harris County that were in his budget, as many of them were overbudget. He decided to branch out to the surrounding counties, and it wasn't long before he found a guy down in Manvel selling a 1988 Pontiac Firebird. He called the guy about it, and they agreed to meet at 2:00 PM.
He had brought his trailer with him, so that he could carry the car back to his house and hide it until his aunt's birthday. As Isidoro was driving down the road, he then looked, and noticed in the open land, a Litten that didn't look good...at all.
"Huh?" Isidoro exclaimed. He didn't want to leave the cat out to die, so he pulled the truck over and got out, going to the Litten. Sylveon put down her crayon and sheet of paper, wondering what was going on. (Isidoro, what's going on?) she asked.
"There's a Litten that looks hurt! I'm gonna go try and heal it!" he said, running into the open land, Sylveon opening her door and following him.
Litten was walking slowly, his right foreleg hurting like hell. What happened? Not long ago, his previous trainer, Lamar, had released him. Lamar had called him "worthless", "weak", and "not wanted". Litten, however, still liked his trainer, and didn't want to leave, not grown enough yet to realize that Lamar was the trainer he didn't need in his life.
Lamar then attacked Litten, throwing rocks at him, kicking him hard, and lastly, called out his Buizel to attack Litten. He managed to get away, but it came at the expense of his right foreleg, which was injured, making it hard for Litten to walk.
(I'm hungry...I'm lost...) groaned Litten to himself, wondering if things would get any better. He stopped in the open field, and laid down, slowly snuggling himself and closing his eyes. Tears began to form in them, as he was beginning to wish for death.
(*sniff* W-why does no one love me...Wh-why am i always alone...W-why can't i j-just...die?) he whispered to himself, beginning to cry.
"Hey...are you okay?" called Isidoro, which caused Litten to open his eyes. He then saw Isidoro, walking towards him, with Sylveon by his side.
(G-get away from me...) said Litten, trying to run away out of fear, but couldn't because of his hurt leg. Isidoro got down on one leg, and put his hand on Litten's head. He then started petting him with a smile on his face. "It's okay, buddy...you don't have to be afraid." he soothed.
Litten was confused. Why was he being petted? All he knew was how Lamar treated him, and that was it. No one had ever done this to him before...
"Sylveon, get me a potion for Litten's leg." said Isidoro. Sylveon did as he asked, and went to his truck, retrieving a potion out of the back with her ribbons, and ran back to Isidoro with the potion. "Thank you, Sylveon." he said, as he took the potion from her ribbons, and carefully held Litten's injured leg in his other hand. "Hold still, buddy..." he said. He then sprayed the potion on Litten's leg a few times, then stopped. "It shouldn't be long before you feel better." said Isidoro, petting Litten. "Here, have a treat." Smiling, he then pulled out a bag of LifeSavers gummies from his bag, and put three in his hand, extending it out so that Litten could eat them.
Litten was reluctant at first, but snatched them from Isidoro's hand, and ate them. (Why is he doing this for me?) thought Litten. (I am worthless and weak. Why is he helping someone like me?)
Isidoro then stood up, getting ready to head on. "All right, Sylveon. It's time to go, we have a present to get for my aunt." he said. "Bye, little buddy. Be safe." He waved at him, before the two of them walked away, heading back to the truck.
Litten felt tears form in his eyes. (No...Please...don't go...) he said, slowly beginning to stand up.
(Don't...*sniff* l-leave me...) Litten began to cry, and ran after Isidoro.
(I NEED YOU!) He screamed. he then jumped onto Isidoro, and wrapped his little legs around him, causing him to fall onto the grass. He rested his head onto Isidoro's shoulder, and let the tears flow.
(Aww...Poor thing...) said Sylveon. She then went up to Litten, and began to pet him with her ribbons, as Isidoro sat up on the grass, and hugged Litten back.
(Shhhhhh...Shh-sh-sh-sh...It's okay...We're here for you...) soothed Sylveon, as Isidoro began humming to try and help calm Litten down.
For the first time in his life, Litten felt loved. Lamar had never been that way to him, and it made Litten realize that Lamar wasn't the trainer he needed.
Litten kept crying for a little longer, before beginning to calm down, sniffling in Isidoro's arms.
"There, there..." soothed Isidoro, petting his head with one hand. Litten backed up, and looked at Isidoro. (T-thank you...) he said.
"You're welcome..." replied Isidoro. "By the way, Litten...I have a little sister that i take care of. Her name is Silvina, and she's eight years old. How would you like to come back home with us and have her take care of you" he asked.
Litten smiled at the thought of that, but was still a little nervous. (S-sure...) he said, nervously.
"Don't be nervous, Litten." said Isidoro, petting him. "Silvina has a pet cat of her own that she takes good care of, and she'll do the same thing to you." he said.
(Well...all right...) said Litten. "That's better." replied Isidoro. He then took out a PokeBall from his bag, stood back far from Litten, and threw the ball at him. Litten allowed himself to be captured, letting the ball capture him. The ball shook a few times, before stopping.
"Yes!" yelled Isidoro. "We caught Litten!"
(All right!) said Sylveon. (I can't wait to have fun with him!)
"I can't wait either, Sylveon." he said, before opening the door to the truck. "Now it's time to get back in the truck, as we still have to get the Firebird for my aunt, and then we'll head home."
(All right.) Sylveon opened her door with her ribbons, and got in her seat, buckling herself in, before closing her door.
Isidoro buckled his seatbelt, and got back on the road with a smile on his face.
